Thousand Islands, NY

Last leg of our trip for Summer 2025, bittersweet as it is. We didn’t make it as far as we had originally planned, we made new friends who are on the Loop, we had a great adventure, met wonderful people, and enjoyed every stop we made.

We have returned to a slip at the Thousand Islands Club where we will stay for the rest of the season with a day trip or two in the cards. We’re going to go to Mystic, CT to see our daughter’s family, including our 7 1/2 month old grandson. We’ll pick up our car and then do some exploring in the Thousand Islands area of New York.

Charlotte is glad to be off the water for awhile and Ann is glad to be away from the spiders.

The Thousand Islands Club is a very nice club and we’ve already met some nice boat neighbors. We’re looking forward to spending time there and enjoying the amenities. We’re going to put the dinghy in the water and join the very active daily boat traffic on the St Lawrence River which will also include visits to the village of Alexandria Bay right across the river.

The view off the stern, that you can see in the pic below with the American flag, is of a private island with a house on it between the marina cove and the river.
