If you’re planning to complete any section of the Great Loop, or are planning to use the Intracoastal Waterway, any of the New York State Canal System canals, the Trent Severn Waterway, the Tennessee or Tombigbee Rivers and more then joining the AGLCA can be a big benefit. “AGLCA's mission is to assists boaters in all facets of their high-adventure, low-risk, long-distance journey around the Great Loop. In that regard, we provide indispensable support to and among members and sponsors as they dream about, plan for, and cruise the Great Loop.”
The AGLCA website includes a wealth of information but recently, more important to us, have been the sample itineraries, daily YouTube summaries and .gpx tracks posted by Kim Russo, Executive Director of AGLCA, during her first loop. Also, the AGLCA YouTube channel has a treasure trove of information including Great Loop Lifestyle videos that highlight a variety of ports of call on the Loop.
