Lazy day today at the marina doing boat chores and resting up for the next couple days. For Will (a.k.a. the Every Ready Bunny with fresh batteries)  resting means washing the boat, getting all the fenders and lines ready to go through the locks (coming up on Sunday) and doing a thousand and one other things.

A day off for Ann and Charlotte means hiding from Will in the stateroom, stretched out on the bed, hoping he doesn’t find them or make eye contact while they eat pretzels, paint their nails and binge watch Netflix.   Ok - maybe a couple loads of laundry were done between shows - but that’s about it. We have always had different a definition of relaxing.

The day went  by fast, rain here and there - and since the marina was not near anything - not even a Walmart on the map - it really was a day off.

Since Ann will be handling the lines going through the locks - watched a couple of poorly produced  youtube videos of other wives and girlfriends with cussing and struggling with the lines in the locks - which wasn’t very helpful or comforting - will definitely be baptism by fire 🔥 and so more to come in the next few days.  Paige and Avery tell Ann all the time to quit doubting her capabilities on the boat - but as Ann always remarks you don’t know what you don’t know until you have done it a couple times.

Note to self: create mobile spas with nail salons and cat grooming options that come to peoples boats on the Hudson!
