Stamford, CT
Spent two very uneventful days at the Yacht Haven marina in Stamford erring on the side of caution waiting out a “huge” storm that never materialized! We decided the weather people around there really need to brush up on their storm tracking skills - or maybe they were all laid off by Trump and no one was at NOAA to make an accurate prediction. Anyway, we realized two things 1) we never want to dock our boat in Stamford again as the only thing we could walk to was a beer garden and the Vineyard Vines headquarters bldg. 2) we really like beer gardens! We did meet a guy from Annapolis who was on his way to Block Island for race week. Shockingly, we had a mutual friend - Dixon Smith, a recently retired 3 star Admiral, who use to race with Will on the sailing team at USNA and was a sword bearer in our wedding! It’s such a small world, right?
