Troy, NY
The city of Troy NY has a great dock on a wall in the middle of downtown, with room for about 10 boats to tie up. We stayed a second day in Troy to look around the area, and met a lot of our boat neighbors, all headed to the locks tomorrow with us.
We rented a car and drove to a couple of the locks to see first hand what we are in for, and watched several boats come in and out of the locks. It was great to see it all first hand and chat with the lock master and get the low down on how to best manage the waters.
The afternoon was relaxing with some more time spent with some of our new friends, sharing stories and hearing about their experiences. Many of them have been on the loop since the first part of the year so we learned a lot.
We came down to the stateroom to get ready for tomorrow to discover Charlotte had discovered Ann’s stash of Gummy Bears and was watching that trashy show Cats Gone Wild. We are really going to have to keep a better eye on her during this trip! Tomorrow morning we tackle 7 locks!
