Little Current, ON, CA
First, my apology. I just realized that the last five entries or so the photos might no be displaying in full size. I’ve fixed them if you’re interested in taking another look at our photos.
We made a short 18 mile run to Little Current today from Killarney. We’re planning to hole up for three nights in Little Current because of forecast winds and small craft warnings both on North Channel and Georgian Bay. As I write this we’ve only been here two hours and already met other boaters with the same plans. That’s just how it goes on the Great Lakes. There are three-day blows and then the weather gets great and people get back on the water.
We will provision here, explore a bit, and enjoy some of the little shops, coffee and bakery. We’re on the Port of Little Current dock wall where many visitors walk so we’ve already met inquisitive people who want to know where we’re from or what we’re doing.
It was cloudy with a little rain on the trip over but the elevated islands and mountains in the background still make for good vistas. There is also the Little Current Swing Bridge that we can’t go under so we had to wait for it to open. You can see it in the background behind the lighthouse and closer up.
